Perú Emite Alerta de Tsunami Tras Fuerte Sismo en Kamchatka, Rusia

La Dirección de Hidrografía y Navegación (DHN) de la Marina de Guerra del Perú emitió este martes una alerta de tsunami para todo su litoral, luego de registrarse un terremoto de magnitud 7.9 frente a las costas de la península rusa de Kamchatka.

"Se comunica que este evento genera alerta de tsunami en el litoral peruano. Se mantendrá en constante vigilancia dicho evento", indicó la institución en un comunicado, tras el análisis realizado por su centro nacional de alerta de tsunamis.

El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia Nacional (COEN) señaló, a través de su cuenta oficial en X, que está monitoreando las regiones del litoral costero en coordinación con la DHN.

Según estimaciones oficiales, el tren de olas generado por el sismo llegaría a los puertos del norte, centro y sur de Perú entre las 10:10 y 12:31 hora local de este miércoles 30 de julio.

Jorge Vizcarra, director de Hidrografía y Navegación, precisó a Radio Programas del Perú (RPP) que la primera ola se espera en la zona de Talara alrededor de las 10:13 horas. Para el Callao, el tren de olas llegaría a las 11:34 de la mañana con una altura estimada de 0.84 metros, y en Pisco a las 11:41 de la mañana con una altura de 76 centímetros.

Cabe recordar que Perú ya había registrado un fenómeno de oleaje anómalo en abril de este año.
